Planning changes to existing processes or analysing and documenting the operations of old processes are part of our skill set. We also excel in the implementation designing of entirely new process, from detailed diagrams to process descriptions and equipment sizing.

In our design work we use design environments as SmartPlant P&ID, AutoCAD, Comos, Vertex PI, or Microstation, as well as databased design systems.  For demanding simulations, we utilize different simulation programs such as Aspen Plus. The safety of people and the environment, as well as sustainable development are fundamental principles of our design work.

Process reviews of existing plants

We conduct field inspections to update plant documentation, ensuring it accurately reflects the current state. This includes adding necessary equipment positions, creating equipment lines and labelling on-site for safer operations. We also analyse and document process operations to facilitate the acquisition and programming of new control systems.

Designing of new production facility

After general planning, process engineering determines the sizes of various lines and equipment and provides the necessary specifications for equipment procurement.  Process engineering produces initial data, for example, through simulation.  

Implementation and training

The commissioning and operator training for new or modified production lines are crucial aspects of projects. Who better to assist in commissioning and provide equipment training than a process designer who has been involved in the project from the beginning? Additionally, we offer general operational training on various processes, tailored for operators or maintenance personnel.

Risk assessment and safety planning

As part of general planning, process engineering contributes to the risk assessment of new or existing plant during the project. Depending on the project, our EHS engineering experts may even undertake the entire risk assessment process.
